Every year in late June, skateboarders around the globe gather to celebrate the creativity and spirit of skateboarding. This year, the public is invited to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day at Chatham Skate Park, a day of fun and entertainment for all. ?

Chatham's Go Skateboarding Day celebration features:

• Skateboarding demo by the professional skate team from 5BORONYC
• Jam-style Best Trick Contest, entry fee $5
• Music
• Food
• Giveaways
• . . . and More

The event kicks off with a skate takeover of Southern Boulevard. ?Meet at Nash Field, 405 Southern Blvd., at 11:45am and skate en masse to Chatham Skate Park. Festivities continue at the park from noon to 3pm.
