General Position Description:

The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for sales performance of key accounts. The Key Account Sales Manager will establish sales goals, strategies, and budgets relative to these account and channels to assure goal achievement through direct contact with buyers and merchandisers. This position will also travel extensively to all required meetings and trade shows to achieve sales goals.

Basic Responsibilities:

Develops and implements strategic sales forecasts, plans and goals for each assigned key account to meet the Non Specialty annual sales and gross margin goals.
Develop and maintain good customer rapport and a positive image.
Monitor each key account against goals and formulate and review sales strategies and procedures necessary to meet growth and profitability goals.
Develop detailed Key Account plan that includes the goals, account promotion strategy, annual events and account road map.
Manage independent sales rep participation in the non specialty selling process.
Take an active role in retail promotions at all Key Accounts.
Coordinates and works with Marketing and Product Management on product problems, improvements on existing products, new product requirements, and competitive information.
Maintains current awareness of competitors, competitive product lines and programs.
Completes and submits on a timely basis expense reports, business activity of each assigned account, and key account strategy development.
Assist Director of Sales on all key account business.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in sales, business management, marketing, or related field preferred.
2. 3 - 5 years experience in sales management.
3. Field apparel sales and/or retails sales experience of 3 years preferred.
4. General computer proficiency with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
6. Ability to listen to, understand and identify customer needs.
7. Ability to work in a team environment.
