Not the Euro one, one for the American market. ?Ford has already said that the new global Ranger is within just a few percentage points ?of the F150 at it its low end. ?When I was 15 years younger, a Ranger 4x4 was the thing to have here. ?Space for two, luggage space, rugged, simple, moderate towing, TRUE 4x4 capability. Comfortable. ?Unfortunately Ford HAsnt seen fit to reengineer the Ranger. ?The F150 is a wonderful big truck, I have one, but alot of times half the size is ok. ? HALF a cord of wood is ok, occasional bulk hauling ,a friend needs to move, some firewood, a light Camper. ?
The Expense is ridiculous too for ANY small/midsize truck. ?$30 large for a Ranger?? OR a Tacoma OR a Gm Product ?OR a DAkota is ridiculous
This isnt just for Ford. its for GM & ChryCo.
THE BIG THREE NEED SOME SMALL TRUCKS.. not just decontented half tons. ?A Ford F150 with an ecoboost 4 cyl??? Yeah... dont think so..
HEY.. BIG THREE!!!.....LISTEN!!!!! Alot of us want the small trucks BACK!!!
If one doesnt need a full size truck.. It leaves the Rustastic Toyota and the Nissan. ?The current domestics are trashcans in terms of crash tests.. ?
If I had to buy a small truck, Id buy a toyota. ?

The General hasnt given up on the midsize truck, an all new Colorado is coming in 2014. While Ford and Dodge gave up and doesnt care about this segment, Chevrolet is still sticking up for the midsize truck guys. ?

The problem is with pricing. And this goes with pretty much anyone who is producing a midsize truck right now.
You need a truck that starts out in the $15k range and maybe tops out a couple grand above the base full sizer. At one point, the Ranger was topping out almost $10k over the base F-150. ?

add to the fact that full size trucks get full size rebates while the midsizers get small rebates. ?i'd get the big truck everytime. ?tough to justify a smaller one. ?

I think they should base a small pickup off of the Mustang platform. ?After all it's got a powerful engine up front, rear wheel drive, and a proper truck rear end.
I'm just kidding. ?When I was selling Fords there were several customers who were sad to see hear the Ranger was dead. ?However most of them didn't know the Ranger was still being made. ?
