So maybe you missed the Zombie Walk or Caufield?s Halloween Parade. Or maybe you were waiting to shop, sip, and stroll down Bardstown Road with your children when you wouldn't have to answer questions like, "Mommy, why is that man's head falling off?" or "What is an asylum?" (Two questions I got this year from one of my wide-eyed little ones.)
Bardstown Bound BooFest might be just what you're looking for this Saturday, October 27 beginning at noon. It's a family-friendly, fun, and relaxed event that showcases the best shops and restaurants along Bardstown Road from the Douglass Loop to Lexington Road. You can walk, bike, or hop on the trolley to enjoy special sales and events at dozens of businesses along the Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue corridor.
Of course, costumes are encouraged for young and old alike. And where there are costumes, there is candy. Bring a bag for trick-or-treating!
The trolley runs from 2:00-8:00 pm, just in time for you to put the tots to bed. But the fun won't stop then, as the nightlife on Bardstown Road always delivers. Live bands, local brews, and BooFest food and drink specials continue throughout the night.?
